I joined at a rock bottom time in my.life and career. Aged 67, post-cancer, my agent had just retired. Giving up was for the first time, a real possibility. The support and professionalism is something I’ve never experienced before and I genuinely feel I’m working with friends, not agents. I’m not a technical genius but there’s so much help it’s become much less of a fear when self-taping, uploading, and all those non boomer terms. And I’ve had more self-tapes in under a year than ever before, it’s unbelievable! As an adult actor with over 20yrs of experience, I can honestly say LCA are absolutely wonderful! With some agents you’re just a number and a commodity. Only contacted when you have an audition or self tape, and then they haven’t bothered to see if you’re actually suitable or even available! LCA get to know EVERY client. Your casting type, your skills, your experience, your Spotlight profile, your showreels. They watch and give feedback on every reel and tape! They also get to know you as a person which is so important for submissions. They keep in touch between tapes and bookings and there are even socials in person and on-line a few times a year which creates a ‘team’ not just another ‘number’. Whether you’re an established actor or just starting out if LCA sign you, you’ll be nurtured and encouraged. Oh, and they’re really bloody lovely people too!

My 9 year old has been going to LCA for almost 3 years now and been part of the agency for just over 2. In this time his confidence has grown massively and he has been offered so many exciting opportunities! It’s more than just an extra circular activity club, it is a family that is so helpful & supportive. Best club we ever signed up for!

LCA is a fabulous Agency & Academy. I can’t praise the team enough. Encompassing everything from weekly classes (sometimes with guest TV/film actors) with friendly leaders where all students are equally included, the chance to film and attend their very own Oscars, to an Agency which provides a highly personalised approach. Being led by a current TV actor, LCA knows exactly how students and parents feel. LCA Academy has been one of the best decisions we have made for our daughter.

In just a few short months, the change in her has been incredible. She has grown in confidence so much and is absolutely flourishing. At her previous drama school, she was often reluctant to go, but with LCA it is the complete opposite. She gets excited for class, loves every moment, and comes out buzzing afterwards.

Ellie has such an impressive abundance of skill, knowledge and real understanding of the industry, and that shines through in everything LCA does. The staff are always upbeat, smiling, encouraging and clearly passionate about what they do, which creates such a positive environment for the children. It is not just about learning lines or performing, it is about building confidence, friendships, skills and genuine excitement for the world of TV and film.

One of the most amazing opportunities has been seeing the students take part in a professionally made short film. For my daughter, this has been such a special first experience of what it is like to be filmed for a movie, and now she also gets to attend the Oscars-style awards evening and film premiere, which is such a memorable and unique experience for the children and their families. What LCA offers goes far beyond a standard drama class.
